Vintage Design
A fine 19th-century English ash and elm Windsor armchair. It features a stick and hoop back with a spindle design. The back rail is secured to a stunning solid, saddle-shaped elm seat with shaped arms on shaped supports. The armchair is raised on turned legs, connected by H-form stretchers. This country armchair has stunning grain configurations and a warm color, all in good original condition. England, circa 1840. The chair seat height is 42 cm.
